Planning Your Tattoo Trip to Bali: What You Need to Know

Planning Your Tattoo Trip to Bali: What You Need to Know

Timing is Everything

The most common mistake tourists make is getting a tattoo on their first day in Bali. Remember the golden rule of aftercare: No swimming and no direct sun for 2 weeks.

If you plan on surfing in Canggu, swimming in Ubud's waterfalls, or sunbathing in Uluwatu, schedule your tattoo appointment for the last few days of your trip. This way, you can enjoy your vacation fully without risking infection or ruining your new art.

Hydration & Health

Bali's tropical heat can be intense. Getting tattooed takes a toll on your immune system. Ensure you are well-hydrated, have eaten a solid meal, and avoided heavy alcohol consumption the night before your session. Alcohol thins the blood, making you bleed more and potentially pushing ink out of the skin.

Why Book in Advance?

Reputable studios and artists (like Silver Jerry) are often booked weeks or months in advance. Don't rely on walk-ins for high-quality, custom work. Book your session before you even fly to Bali.

At Dotlinetattu, flash tattoos require a 50% deposit and custom tattoos require a 10% deposit to secure the booking, ensuring that both your time and our artist's preparation are respected. We recommend reaching out via WhatsApp at least a month before your arrival to discuss your design.
