About Dotlinetattu

Tradition Meets a Rhythm Contemporary.

Dotlinetattu combines centuries-ancient tattooing techniques with contemporary custom design. Specializing in traditional handpoke and hand tapping tattoos, every artwork is individually created to reflect personal stories, body movement, and artistic balance.

Inspired by geometric structures, tribal heritage, and natural body flow, every design is developed from scratch rather than copied from existing references. The result is an authentic tattoo experience where craftsmanship and originality become the foundation of every piece.

The Beginning

The name Dotlinetattu comes from the essence of traditional tattooing itself. Every tattoo begins with a single dot before it becomes a line, and every line becomes part of a larger composition. That simple process became the foundation of both the name and philosophy behind Dotlinetattu.

Silver Jerry into tattooing began in 2010, learning through observation, sharing knowledge with fellow tattoo artists, and gaining valuable experience while working at a tattoo studio in Bali. Over the years, those experiences gradually shaped my technical skills, artistic perspective, and personal approach to tattooing.

Building Identity

By 2015, my artistic direction started to become clear. I became increasingly drawn to creating my own visual language by combining geometric structures with tribal influences. Rather than following existing styles, I focused on developing a design approach that eventually became known as Geometric Tribal Fusion.

In 2019, Dotlinetattu was officially established as the home for that vision.

During this journey, I discovered that traditional Handpoke and Hand Tapping techniques allowed me to express my work with greater confidence and precision. Working without a machine changed the way I approached tattooing—each mark became intentional, creating a slower, more connected creative process.

Although I continue to work with tattoo machines when appropriate, especially for selected minimalist tattoos, traditional tattooing remains the foundation of my artistic practice.

The Art Behind Dotlinetattu

Dotlinetattu is built on years of exploring traditional tattooing through handpoke and hand tapping techniques. Every design is developed from the ground up, combining geometric structure, tribal influences, and handcrafted precision to create tattoos that are unique to each individual.

Flower

An original geometric floral composition inspired by traditional Tapis ornamentation and Balinese hand embroidery. Reimagined through Dotlinetattu’s signature geometric tribal fusion approach.

Mask

Inspired entirely by the geometric ornaments found in traditional Lampung Tapis hand weaving, transformed into a distinctive geometric mask composition.

Roots Ti’ti

Custom tribal roots tattoo inspired by the traditional Mentawai motifs Silaou and Ti’ti Simumurat. Reinterpreted through Dotlinetattu’s distinctive design approach while preserving the essence and flow of these ancestral patterns.

Roots tree of life

Inspired by traditional Dayak tribal ornamentation from Kalimantan, this Tree of Life composition is reimagined through Dotlinetattu’s signature design language while preserving the visual essence of its cultural inspiration.
